“We Can Do This” – COVID-19 Campaign

As part of the We Can Do This, COVID-19 campaign, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is sharing a Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum-produced guide that contains links crowdsourced by community members, leaders, and national and community-based organizations that are actively working to improve the well-being of AA and NH/PI communities while keeping language access barriers in mind.

APIAHF and NAPABA Hate Crimes Toolkit

APIAHF and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) have collaborated on a hate crime/incident toolkit that provides basic and critical information for victims, community based organization, and community leaders, and is translated into 25 different AA and NH/PI languages.

National AA and NHPI Health Response Partnership

The National AA and NH/PI Health Response Partnership website offers culturally and linguistically accessible resources for Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander community audiences to support COVID-19-related efforts, specifically aimed at supporting vaccinations, data accumulation efforts, public service announcements and health education. Materials will be available in more than 20 AA and NH/PI languages, including: Chinese, Vietnamese, Bengali, Korean, Urdu, Tagalog, Native Hawaiian, Tongan, Samoan, Marshallese and Chuukese. This website and effort is led by the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF), in conjunction with the CDC, and 27 national and community Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander organizations. Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Hawaiʻi COVID-19 Response, Recovery & Resilience Team (NHPI 3R)

The Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Hawai'i COVID-19 Response, Recovery & Resilience Team (NHPI 3R) was established in May 2020, in alignment with the national NHPI Response Team, to improve the collection and reporting of accurate data, identify and lend support to initiatives across the Hawaiian Islands working to address COVID-19 among Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, and unify to establish a presence in the decision-making processes and policies that impact our communities. PICAWA – Pasifika Narratives

Pasifika Narratives “Our Voice is our Liberation” is a video series produced by the Pacific Islander Community Association of Washington highlighting the stories of resilience and cultural brilliance of our Pacific Islander communities in the U.S. diaspora, specifically Washington State. The stories in this series highlight Pasifika stories and issues in a quarterly 30-minute video media released from our PICA-WA social media platforms and covers local policy and social issues unique to the Pacific Northwest and covering global issues that impact the Pasifika Diaspora in Washington State and in the United States. Pasifika Narratives also serve as a medium for cultural work highlights, promoting Pasifika Creatives in having an avenue to share their body of work.
