COVID-19 Health Info Resources
NYU Center for the Study of Asian American Health (CSAAH) and our community partners are working to share important information about COVID-19, COVID-19 vaccines, as well as resources to encourage acceptance of vaccines, and increase access to immunization services among Asian American communities in New York City (NYC). Please see the below health information resources available in various Asian American languages developed through support from the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) and funding from the CDC Office of Minority Health and Health Equity (OMHHE) via the Forging Partnerships initiative.

COVID-19 Frequently-Asked Question Infographics, Glossary Terms Palm Cards, and PSA Videos
In partnership with the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF), and with support from the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) through funding from the CDC Office of Minority Health and Health Equity (OMHHE), we have created a handy one-page infographic with answers to commonly asked questions about COVID-19 and containing contact information for NYC-local vaccination sites. There is also a handout of useful glossary of frequently used words and phrases related to COVID-19. These resources are available in 11 languages: Arabic, Bengali, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Nepali, Punjabi, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
All resources were developed and reviewed with several NYC community-based organizational partners including: the Arab-American Family Support Center (AAFSC), Council of Peoples Organization (COPO), Japanese American Social Services Inc. (JASSi), Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York, Inc. (KCS), Mekong NYC, MinKwon Center for Community Action, United Chinese Association of Brooklyn (UCAoB), South Asian Council for Social Services (SACSS), and UNITED SIKHS.

Engaging AA and NH/PI Communities in Adult Vaccination (EVAC)
Translated Recipe Cards with Local Vaccination Site Information
CSAAH continues to encourage and support local NYC-based organizational partners’ existing COVID-19-related community outreach efforts to encourage COVID-19 and flu vaccination through dissemination of in-language materials. Through the Engaging AA and NH/PI Communities in Adult Vaccination (EVAC) initiative, CSAAH created culturally adapted recipe cards that also include critical information on local vaccination sites for community partners to distribute at food pantry sites across NYC. Recipe cards were translated into Bengali, Chinese, Spanish, and Urdu, and contain culturally adapted recipes using foods and produce frequently distributed at food pantries or food banks.
We are one of 27 organizations involved in the national EVAC effort led by our partners at the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF), which aims to increase the acceptance of vaccines and increase access to immunization services among Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities across the country.
